Here are some answers to common questions regarding this process:
Why are you planting a church?
We believe that God is calling our family to help establish a new gospel-centered church that reaches people with the hope of Jesus Christ. Church planting creates new disciples, new leaders, and new communities to flourish and grow in relationship with God.
What is the church-planting residency?
The church-planting residency is a program of training, mentoring, and hands-on ministry at The Village Church. This program prepares us spiritually, practically, and pastorally for the work of planting a healthy and sustainable church.
When and where will the church officially launch?
After a season of preparation through the church‑planting residency, our anticipated launch window is August or September of 2028. The exact timing will depend on the needs of the community we’re called to and the formation of a healthy core team. Most church plants launch after the residency is complete and after we’ve spent intentional time building relationships in the new city.
As for the location, we’re seeking the Lord’s direction and trusting Him to make the path clear.
