About Ben

Country music. Buckeyes football. Fishing. Reading. Playing a guitar. Always tinkering on something in the garage. I’m a husband to Rachael and Dad to two great little kids.
I wanted to be a mechanical engineer, but God had other plans. I got a bachelor’s from Cedarville University in biblical studies, a master’s from Liberty University in Christian Apologetics, and am working towards an M. Div. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Air Force moved my family around the country for the years my wife was active duty, and now, I’m the Associate Pastor overseeing adult ministries and worship at LakeView Church in Stoughton, WI.
About Between the Ditches
A pastor once told me that a lot of Christian beliefs are like a highway. Some topics are indeed a one lane, one way street. Many others are two, five, or ten lanes. As long as we’re in one of the lanes, we can live in harmony. But, beware of the ditches. This blog is not trying to convince you that my lane is correct, but instead, to help us all stay between the ditches.
